  Source: King Khalid University -media center The General Administration of Media and Relations at King Khalid University, in cooperation with the E-learning Deanship, organized a virtual workshop entitled “Towards Development Without Corruption.” The workshop is part of the University’s contribution towards the awareness campaign which was launched by His Royal Highness the governor of Aseer region، Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, to decrease the amount of corruption in the region. His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-solami, attended the launching of the workshop, and praised Aseer entities for working collectively to decrease the amount of corruption in the region, he also stressed the importance of this campaign, and explained how the University participated in spreading its message through TV interviews, social media, Afaq newspaper and by dedicating researches and workshops for this regard. Al-solami added that achieving development requires cooperation and integration between both the government agencies and citizens. Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Qarni, the Dean of Jurisprudence Department at the University, and Dr. Dhafer bin Saeed Al Hammad, the Assistant Professor of the Collage of Education at King Khalid University, participated in the workshop, which was moderated by Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Muraee, the Assistant Professor of Literature and Criticism, and the Dean of the Community College. For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qarni, talked about the legal aspects, and explained how corruption is forbidden and should be stopped by any means according to the Islamic law. Source: KKU - Media Center  His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solami, patronized the 12th meeting of Saudi Universities endowment representatives, which was held on Thursday morning, the 3rd of December. The meeting included three sessions, the first session started by a speech delivered by His Excellency the University President, in which he stressed the importance of endowments, and how they enhance Universities’ self-resourcing. During the second session of the meeting, the Secretary General of King Khalid University Endowment, Prof. Omar Al Mushait, thanked the organizing committee for their efforts, while the Executive Director of Scientific Endowment at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Essam bin Hassan Kawthar, presented the achievements of the previous endowment meeting. On his part, the Secretary General of King Saud University endowments, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Dhafer, talked briefly about the difficulties and challenges facing the universities endowments nowdays, while Dr. Majid Al-Duwaish, presented a research paper entitled “Process and Results of Universities Joint Endowment Initiatives.” On Wednesday, the 2nd of December, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solami, patronized a symposium entitled “University Endowments in Light of the New Universities System : KAU and KSU Endowment Experience.” The symposium was attended by His Excellency, the President of Taif University, Prof. Youssef bin Abdo Asiri, and Saudi universities endowment representatives, and a few members of the endowment inspection council, and a number of university vice deans and employees. The symposium started with a speech given by His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Rajaa Allah Al-Solami, he welcomed all the university guests, then he commended our wise leadership’s interest in enhancing and developing the role of Saudi universities, he also commended the Ministry of Education’s efforts in preparing universities for the new universities system, by enhancing universities’ self-resourcing strategies. On his part, the Secretary General of KSU Endowments, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Dhafer, explained the elements of a successful endowment. It's worth noting, that the symposium was concluded by answering some of the attendees’ questions. The meeting also included a cooperation agreement between King Khalid University Endowments and King Abdulaziz University Scientific Endowment, which was signed under the patronage of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Solami. Prof. Omar bin Saeed Al Mushait, Secretary General of Endowments at the University,represented the University in signing the agreement, while Dr. Essam bin Hassan Kawthar, the Executive Director of Scientific Endowment at KAU, represented King Abdulaziz University. The agreement aims to implement cooperation between the two parties in many areas.

The seminar is one of the activities of the 12th of the Saudi Universities endowments meeting, which King Khalid university is to host this year. The seminar was attended  by his Excellency the president of Taif University, Prof.Youssef bin Abdo Asiri, and Saudi universities endowment officials, as well as al number of Inspection Council members and university vice president and employees. His excellency the University President welcomed his Excellency the president of the University of Taif, the trustees and representatives of the endowments of Saudi universities and attendees, stressing the importance of holding such meetings, which aim to achieve the universities new mission in light of the Kingdoms 2030. His Excellency commended our wise leadership’s interest in enhancing and developing the role of Saudi universities in the overall development of the Kingdom. He also commended the Ministry of Education’s effort in creating the universities new mission  to achieving  efficient spending and to enhancing self-resourcing, stressing that endowments  are  an important part in this new mission. On his part, the Secretary General of King Khalid University Endowments, Dr.Omar bin Saeed Al Mushait, inaugurated the seminar’s activities by welcoming the guest . After that, the CEO of the Scientific Endowment at King Abdulaziz University, Dr.Essam bin Hassan Kawthar, initiate the seminar by presenting King Abdulaziz University’s experience with endowments, highlighting  the  university’s most important endowments projects , activities and categories that aim to achieve endowment returns, stressing the importance of partnerships with  businessmen and business ventures. On his part, the Secretary General of King Saud University, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Al-Dhafer, highlighted the most successful endowment projects of King Saud University, stressing on the importance of partnerships with private sectors, in addition to investing in university buildings and properties as part of the self resourcing. He also commended tourism and environmental potential projects available in the southern region, which can add to King Khalid University endowment investments and work for the university’s benefit The seminar was concluded with answering questions and among the most prominent of them are ways to activate the role of university students.
Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications The Deanship of Post  Graduate Studies at King Khalid University announced admission dates  to (non-fee) graduate studies programs  for  (master's - PhD)  programs  for the academic year 1443AH. The Dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at the University, Prof. Ahmed bin Yahya Al Faie, explained that the admission will be available on the university's online portal (from here) starting  tomorrow morning, Sunday 21 Rabi` al-Akhir, and will continue to Saturday evening the 11th of Jumada al-Awwal. Al-Faei, called  all those wishing to apply for graduate studies  to view conditions and programs (click here) pointing  that the announcement of admission to (fee) programs will be announced at the end of  the month of Rajab of this current year.
Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications His Excellency King Khalid University King Khalid University Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami honored  the 30 winners of the 6th  Excellence Award , which is supervised by the University Agency for Development and Quality. His Excellency the University President congratulated the winners, stressing the importance of the award in spreading the spirit of positive  competition between the university employees and students, in accordance with the standards of development and quality, stressing the university’s keenness to develop the award in the coming years. On his part ,  the Vice President for Business and Knowledge Economy, Prof. Dr. Abdullatif Al-Hadithi, delivered  a speech on behalf of the winners, during which he thanked the President of the University for his support,  he extending his gratitude  to those in charge of the award at the University Agency for Quality and  Development and  the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, finally he  congratulated  the winners for the excellence they achieved this year. The Excellence Award is a 10 category award, which includes the following:  excellence  education for faculty members and students,  scientific research in scientific and theoretical disciplines for faculty members and students as well, in addition to excellence in community service,  individual , and the social  level,  department excellence, and excellence in of E-learning, innovation excellence, faculty , administration, and distinguished employee level. It is worth noting that the number of individual faculty winners reached 17 winners, 7  employees, and 6 students, in addition to 7 bodies that included colleges, deanships and departments. Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications University Vice President, Prof. Mohammed bin Hamid Al-Buhairi, attended the launching of a MAXIMO training program, which is a software to facilities maintenance management.  Al- Buhairi, stressed that the  University is  keen on providing the latest programs in line with best practices to develop the performance and environment of the work place in the university as well as enhancing the quality of outcomes to contribute to the achieve the kingdoms 2030 vision . On his part, the Head of Engineering Affairs, and General Supervisor of the MAXIMO Training Project, Eng. Meshaal bin Jaber Al Shuraim, explained that the software will contribute effectively in providing practical applications in many areas such as: Business Management, Asset Management, Contract Management, Procurement and Inventory Management. He also stressed that the Software’s efficiency will help  reduce  the number of system breakdowns, the amount of administrative work,  it will also increase  productivity,  the use of  resources  and the implantation risk minimization strategies as well.

The agreement aims to implement social initiatives, trainings, awareness and educational activities, most prominent of which are advisory services and scientific studies, as well as  training and  development programs,  professional diplomas , in addition to developing promising investment projects that achieve sustainable development for both parties, while exchanging experiences and continuous cooperation

The meeting aims to achieve  experience exchange, adoption of joint endowment initiatives,  overcoming the difficulties and challenges facing university endowments, in addition to exploring  the  endowment systems,  and  making use of  global experience. His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami welcomed the university guests , hoping that the meeting achieves it’s goals. The Secretary General of King Khalid University Endowment Prof. Omar bin Saeed Al Mushait, explained that  the meeting will be attended by a number of endowment secretary general’s from Saudi Universities , adding that the meeting will also hold a symposium entitled “ University Endowment in Light of the New Universities System : KAU and KSU Endowment  Experience on Wednesday afternoon. On the sidelines of the meeting, Al Mushait met today, Tuesday evening, the Executive Director of the Endowments at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Essam bin Hussein Kawthar, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss  cooperation, and exchange  experiences in the field of endowments. It’s worth noting that the symposium aims to educate the public on the culture of endowments in our society , in addition to exchanging experience with universities.
Source: King Khalid University media center The  E-learning Deanship  at King Khalid University,  continues  to provide its electronic services , according to the deanship’s statistics the semester ’s thirteen  week showed  the recording of 7626 virtual  sessions and 7796 virtual lectures. On his part  the  Dean of E-Learning at the University, Dr. Naif Jabali, explained that the Deanship held two virtual symposiums which were attended by 1017 persons, in addition to a lecture entitled “ E learning in the Artificial intelligence era”  which was attended by 2862 persons. It is worth noting, that  during the thirteenth  week the deanship also provided technical support services represented in 239  phone calls , 312 through WhatsApp, 34 through the deanship’s office, 17 Zoom and 317  Live Chat , 11 e-mails,  which can be calculated as 63%   faculty member support,  37%  student  support.
Source: King Khalid University media center A team  from King Khalid University took part in the National Awareness Initiative  Campaign “ Teach & Realx “ which was recently  unguarded by the Ministry of  Communications and Information Technology to educate the public on the the dangers of cyberbullying and the ways to prevent them , by presenting a lecture entitled “ Cyberbullying and Electronic Games : psychological and Technical Vision “ and a workshop to teach the methods to protecting children from the dangers of cyberbullying. The university team was represented by the professor of learning psychology at the College of Education and the researcher and specialist in cyber psychology, Dr. Salha Ahmed Hadish, and the certified trainer, Head of the Information Technology and Media Unit at the Center of Talent,  Creativity  and Entrepreneurship at the University, Mrs. Aisha Musa Al-Shahrani, and the general supervisor of Afaq  of newspaper  Reem Al-Asiri. The lecture discussed, the types and forms of bullying, the difference between traditional bullying and online bullying, the psychological dimensions of electronic bullying, the technical and psychological reasons leading to its emergence, in addition to presenting a number of videos, explanatory and awareness photos. It is worth noting,  that the Digital Ithra  Initiative is  supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to spread digital knowledge among the public and enrich Arab technical content.
Source: King Khalid University media center Prof. Abdul Hamid Saif Al-Husami, Arabic Literature and Critique professor of  Arabic Language and Literature at the College of Human Sciences at King Khalid University, won the Rashid Bin Hamid Award  for Culture and Science for the 37th  season in the field of literary critique. Al Husami came in second place for his study"Visual Narration” of (The Second Dog's War)"  in the category of  literary critique which was recently announced in the United Arab Emirates. Prof. Abdul Hamid Saif was  among 312 participants who competed for the award, his study was among 34 studies in the literary critique category. Al Husami, expressed his joy on winning the award, he also  explained that his research was according to the semiotic approach, which  seeks to interrogate the semantics of the  the novel, to form a general significance in the novel. Its worth noting,  that the Rashid bin Humaid Culture & Science Award is considered one the most important Arabic Awards,  which its Board of Trustees have recently decided after the great success of the award, to allow  participations from around the Arab world ,with the aim of creating a cultural and scientific movement.
Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications King Khalid University represented by the General Administration  for Scholarship Students, held a virtual ceremony to celebrate International Day of International Students,the ceremony was sponsored by the University Vice President of Academic Affairs he Acting Vice President  of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam. In the speech Bin Dujam delivered on the occasion, he stressed the Kingdom ’s keenness to qualify international student to contribute to the  sustainable development of their home  countries, in addition to the university's efforts in   providing  all   necessary services  required for the success of the international student education and university experience. The ceremony also included a speech delivered by the General supervisor of the General  Administration for Scholarship Students Prof. Saeed Al-Shahrani, as well as the participation of the Algerian scholarship students Ahmed Almamoon who on behalf of the scholarship students deliver a speech in which he thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and King Khalid University   for their generous  hospitality and efforts in the support. The ceremony also included a documentary film on the university’s scholarship program, its vision,  mission and goals. It’s worth noting that King Khalid University is home to more that 1100 international student.
  Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications His Excellency, the University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Salami.witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University and the Prisons Directorate in Asir Region, this evening the 23rd of November 2020.  The University was represented in the signing by the University Vice President of Educational and Academic Affairs and Vice President of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad bin Mohammed bin Dajam, while Major General, Saad bin Saeed Al Marit, represented the Prisons Directorate.  The agreement aims to establish cooperation between the two parties in several areas, which include: training courses, lectures, seminars for the Directorate employees and inmates, as well as organizing events and activities to celebrate occasions such as the National Day and holidays, inside the prison.  The agreement also included accepting inmates to the University academic programs, as well as providing treatment in the University medical clinics, and establishing a dental clinic inside the prison to treat prison employees and inmates. It's worth noting, that the two parties have previously shared an agreement that remained for three years, and came to establish this agreement as a result of the success of the previous one.

The training courses come as part of the Deanship of Human Resources efforts to enhance and develop work  performance and achieve the deanships mission  of efficient and innovative management  by investing distinguished capabilities, in line with best practices. The Dean of Human Resources Deanship , Dr. Ali Al-Olayani, explained that the Deanship is keen, through these training courses, to develop the skills and potential of the university employees in  areas  that include, risk management assessment, professional skills in work procedures, monitoring skills, industry and content analysis in social networks, in addition to facility management and leadership skills, hoping to achieve progress and development. The Director of the Administrative Development Department, Mr. Ali Al Demaih, said that holding these courses is of great importance to the development  all university employees, stressing that these course are delivered by a group of qualified university members and experts , adding that the dean is devoted to  achieve the university vision in equipping qualified excellent employees.
  The College’s Female Graduates Unit, represented by the Female Graduates Committee in the Arabic Language Department, organized a training course entitled“ The Art of the Relationship Between the President and the Subordinate ”, presented by Prof. Dr. Ihssan Ibrahim; the associate professor at the community college, organized by the chair of the female graduates committee in the arabic language department, Dr. Kawthar Al-Shafia Ahmad Muhammad; the assistant professor at the department of arabic language. The program was on Saturday, 20/4/1441 AH. The course aims to clarify the human relations between the superior and the subordinate, and the types of leadership behavior that is summarized in directive behavior, supportive behavior, participatory behavior and achievement behavior, and the division of the relationships existing between the superior and the subordinate into direct individual relationship and direct group relationships and reciprocal relations between the subordinates. The session was concluded that: The human element is the source of movement, vitality and compulsive growth. The communication process playsan important rolein the relationship between the superior and subordinate. supervising subordinates aims to ensure individuals' discipline in their work. The session was accompanied by some explanations, interspersed with some participation and discussion from the attendees.
  The Academic Development and Quality Unit, in cooperation with the Ambassador of Information Technology at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait (King Khalid University), organized a training course entitled (Analyzing test results using spss). The training course was presented by Ms. Rasha Aziz Al-Shehri; the head of the measurement and evaluation unit at the college on Sunday corresponding to 3/22/1442 AH at four o'clock in the evening via the Zoom platform. The training course targeted faculty members. And among the most important outcomes of thecourse: How to use spss to analyze test results. Learn how to export grades through an Excel program from Academia and how to copy and paste them onto the spss program. Learn how to analyze the test for one or two section or more than two sections. Copy the data from the spss program and place it on the models.  How to formulate indicators and write them in models. The training course included reviewingthe explanatory slides that had a great impact on the outcomes of the course. The course was also attended by a number of faculty members at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait and faculty members from other colleges at King Khalid University. The session concluded with the attendees' interventions, questions and discussions.
  Coinciding with the International Day of Quality, the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait (King Khalid University) represented by the Academic Development and Quality Unit and the Community Service Unit organized a training course entitled (Total Quality in University Education). The program was organized by Dr. Rehab Babiker; thevice dean for academic development and qualityand the head of the community service unit, andMs. Noura Abdel Aziz Al-Shahrani; thecommunity service coordinator at the computer department. The program was on Wednesday, 3/25/1442 at 7:00 pm on the Zoom platform, and presented by Dr. Mai Aldasoq, the consultantat the Development and Quality unitat King Khalid Universityand professorat the department of public health, college of applied medical sciences, khamis mushayt. The most important outcomes of the program were the following: Defining quality and its objectives, as well as clarifying the overall quality in our Arab and Islamic culture. Demonstrate the overall quality standards and the required leadership capabilities in the university and the required characteristics and practices. To identify the competencies of the university professor from the perspective of total quality and the role of the universitystudent from the perspective of quality and the relationship of the college with the local community. The program was attended by a group of female employees of the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushaytand other faculties at King Khalid University, and the program included presentations that added to the value the program. The programends with interventions, comments, questions and discussions of the honorable attendees. This program came under the university’s aim of spreading the culture of quality and the college’s contribution in supporting the awareness concepts of quality and its standards for female employees.
  The Academic Development and Quality Unit, in cooperation with the Community Service Unit at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt (King Khalid University), organized a training course entitled (Teaching with Wisdom). The training course was presented by Dr. Salha Ahmed Asiri; the assistant professor of Learning Psychology, College of Education, King Khalid University. The training course was organized by Dr. Rehab Babiker Musa Ahmed; the vice dean for academic development and quality and head of the community service unit, and Ms. Nora Abdulaziz Al-Shahrani, community service coordinator in the computer department. The program was on Tuesday 3/3/1442 at seven in the evening via the Zoom platform. The training course targeted faculty members. Among the most important outcomes of the course is to make the attendeeslearn the concept of wisdom scientifically and philosophically, and identify the most important theories that explain wisdom as well as learning about methods of measuring wisdom and applying the development of methods of wisdom in teaching. The training course included a review of explanatory slides and mental maps that had a great impact on the outcomes of the course. The session was attended by a number of faculty members from the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait and faculty members from other colleges of King Khalid University. The training course included at its end the questions session and discussions of the honorable attendees, moderated by Dr. Rehab Babiker. This training course came within the operational plan for implementing training and development programs for faculty members.
  The College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt (King Khalid University) organized an awareness program aimed at clarifying the importance of applying precautionary measures to reduce the Corona virus, and that was on Wednesday, 2/27/1442 at 6:30 pm via the Zoom platform, and the program was moderated by Professor Noura Al- Shahrani; the Community Service Coordinator at the Computer Department, where the program was implemented by the Community Service Unit in cooperation with the Student Activity Unit in the College. The presenter of the program was Dr. Manal Mohamed Abdel Moneim Hawash; the assistant professor at the department of Public health, College of Applied Medical Sciences in Khamis Mushait. During the program, Dr. Manal Hawwash highlights the importance of raising health awareness of the precautionary measures that must be taken and implemented. She provided the target group with the necessary information on how to deal with a patient who shows signs of disease. She tried to enable the target group to acquire knowledge that helps in the prevention of Covid-19, and cleared the effects and risks in case of the failure in taking the necessary precautions and prevention. The head of the community service unit at the college, Dr. Rehab Babiker explained that the program came as the college’s contribution to create the awareness concepts of the college’s employees to prevent and limit Corona virus. It is noteworthy that the program was interspersed with presentations explaining the precautions. The program ended with taking interventions from the attendees, and it was among the valuable and supportive interventions for applying precautions and knowing the ways that lead to getting infected with the virus and how to reduce it. The program was organized to practice university’s role in educating the university’s employees and raising the level of awareness among them.
  The College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt (King Khalid University) represented by the Community Service Unit and the Student Activity Unit in the College organized a training program entitled (How to protect ourselves from diseases; prevention from corona disease). The program was organized by Dr. Rehab Babiker, the head of the Community Service Unit and Professor Noura Abdul Aziz Al-Shahrani; the community Service Coordinator in the Computer Department, and Professor Nawal Abu Ashhi; the head of the Student Activity Unit at the College. The program was on Monday 3/2/1442 at 7 pm via the Zoom platform, and was presented by Dr.Eman Alnashar; the professor of Medicineat King Khalid University. The program was reviewed from two aspects: How to prevent ourselves from corona virusand the immune system and how to strengthen it to overcome diseases.Many methods of protecting the immune system from disease threats have been explained, including eating healthy meals that contain nutritional supplements rich in vitamins, potassium, calcium and zinc, avoiding fast food and soft drinks, taking an interest in practicing sports programs, staying up late, taking an adequate rest, staying away from isolation, and other methods which supports the immune system and protects it from the risks of diseases and health threats The program was attended by a group of employees of the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushaytand affiliates of other colleges at King Khalid University. The program included presentations that to make the program interesting and beneficial. At theend interventions, questions and discussions of the honorable attendees were taken and were moderated by Dr. Rehab Babiker; the head of the Community Service Unit.
