The Department of English Language was established in 1430 AH, which fall under the auspices of the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt, and then in 1444 AH it joined the Applied College in Khamis Mushayt.
The department aims to rehabilitation of students majoring in English literature and linguistics paths and translation in the context of the educational process is subject to continuous development including meet international quality and academic accreditation standards.
The faculty of Language and Translation aspires to a pioneering role in promoting excellence in the fields of knowledge and research, thereby, consolidating its position as an effective role-player in the community.
The KKU English program is dedicated to developing students’ academic and professional competencies in English language, translation, linguistics, applied linguistics and English literature. Towards this end, our endeavors are inspired by best current teaching practices and research. Our ltimate goal is effective contribution in serving our community in the fields of English language studies and translation.
To produce competent and professional English language users

Taking The department offers bachelor's degrees in English, it raises an academic program includes a variety from cover to cover a range of subjects in translation and literature and Applied Linguistics according to a comprehensive study plan aims to provide students a solid scientific flooring in all areas of the English language. The section includes a group of faculty members from different nationalities with expertise in the field of teaching all of them are trying to devote their efforts and expertise to provide a variety of cultural learning experience that meets the needs of students.
