The Applied College in Khamis Mushait, represented by the Digital Transformation Unit in collaboration with the General Administration of Human Resources, organized a training course titled "Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI)," presented by Dr. Rasha Mamon Mohammed on Tuesday, 7th of Shawwal, 1445 H.

Dr. Rasha welcomed the attendees and provided a brief introduction to data science and its relationship with AI, as both are comprehensive terms referring to methods and techniques related to understanding and utilizing digital data. She elucidated the similarities in terms of their main objectives, techniques used, and predictive capabilities.

Following this, Dr. Rasha delivered a detailed explanation of data science, covering its concept, scientific stages, and the distinction between data science and data analysis. Additionally, she highlighted the basic skills in data science, including programming, algebra, statistics, data extraction, and more.

Furthermore, Dr. Rasha emphasized the ethics of data science, particularly regarding privacy, security, transparency, and justice. She also addressed the key challenges in this field, such as data quality and complexity, skill shortages, and technological advancements.

At the end of the course, Dr. Rasha discussed the most important applications in the field of data science, supported by practical examples from our daily lives.
