  Coinciding with the International Day of Quality, the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, King Khalid University, represented by the Female Graduates Unit and the Development and Quality Unit organized a lecture entitled “The Importance of Quality in University Education”, presented by Dr. Kawthar Obaid; The assistant professor in the department of arabic language and organized by Dr. Kawthar Al Shafaa Ahmed Mohamed; the coordinator of the female graduates unit in the Arabic Language Department and Dr. Rehab Babiker; the vice dean for academic quality development. The most important program outcomes were: Defining the concept of total quality Statement of quality standards in university education The student’s role in the periphery of the educational process The role of faculty members in spreading the culture of quality  Ensuring the implementation of the quality system in educational institutions A change in the quality of educational output to develop teaching methods Clarifying some of the fundamentals on which the quality of university education is based the needs and expectations of the beneficiaries Ensuring that improvement and development is an ongoing process The program included some interventions and discussions from the attendees, and it was in the presence of some educational and academic leaders represented by the head of the arabic language department, the vice dean for development and quality, and the community unit coordinator in the arabic language department and some of the quality members in the arabic language department. The program was from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday 28/28 3/1442 AH.
  The College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait represented by the Female Graduates Unit in the Department of Arabic Language organized a lecture entitled “The Art of Time Management” on Saturday 3/21/1442 AH via the Zoom platform, presented by Dr. Ruqayya Malik and Dr. Hanan Al-Kajam in the Arabic Language Department. The most important outcomes of the program were:  Explaining the importance of time from an Islamic perspective.  The need to realize the importance of time and its management.  Fundamentals of time management, such as organization and planning.  Determine the priorities.  Time-handling and task completing skills.  How to recognize and deal with wasting of time.  utilizing time increases its value. The program included some attractive presentations to support the aim of the program as well as some activities, exercises and discussions from the attendees.

To view the issue “click here “ On the occasion, His Excellency King Khalid University President Prof. Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, explained that the university was  keen on releasing  the issue, stressing that the 6th  anniversary of the pledge of allegiance, comes in time where the whole world recognizes the  great  achievements and accomplishment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the  reign of His Royal  Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud “ may Allah protect him”. On his part, the general supervisor of Afaq newspaper Dr. Ali Al Zuhair Al-Qahtani, explained that the newspaper released the  issue, to highlight the most prominent achievements of His Royal Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques  King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as conveying the feelings of the university members in this special occasion. Al-Qahtani, also pointed that Afaq news paper  pays great attention to all national events and achievements, adding that the success of Afaq as a university newspaper reached the level of  it is at , under the guidance and vision of His Excellency the University President.
  Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications King Khalid university, College of Arts and Science at Al Majardah governorate, continues its efforts in carrying out the college recent E learning Excellency Initiative, by holding a number of courses and workshops targeting college students and faculty members. The number of faculty members and students benefiting from the start of the initiative has reached 1478, according to the plan set for the initiative.Dr. Maha Muhammad Al-Shehri, Dean of the College of Arts and Science,  explained that in the past two weeks , a number of workshops were held for faculty members:  among which are the following workshops : -Excluding questions that are not valid for electronic tests -New Teaching Techniques -Applying quality matters and standards in building online course -Preparing the Electronic Tests" -Preparation and Submission of a Research Project Proposal   It’s worth noting that, during the past two weeks, the initiative held a  the eighth and ninth workshop,  in a series of blackboard secrets to guide and motivate students towards excellence. In addition to holding a meeting with the  students nominated for the first stage of the Excellence Award, as well as holding the sixth and seventh meeting with female students in the presence of the College Dean, Vice Dean and Department heads.

The competition  is rganized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in cooperation with the General Administration of Media and Relations. The university, explained that the competition is part of the university’s celebration of the occasion and is open to all members of the society. The agreement was signed by the His Excellency the  University President, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah al-Solami, while on the corporation part His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid ,did the honor. The agreement includes the following , a  joint cooperation, exchange of scientific and professional  experiences, a series of training courses  that meet the job market needs.

Al Solami, added that the Kingdoms presidency of the 20 summit embodies the  international   role of the Kingdom’s and reflects the success of the Kingdom’s policy lead by His Royal Majesty the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salam bin Abdulaziz “ may Allah protect them,  which has prepared the Kingdom for a international leading role. Al Solami, concluded his  statement by stressing that the interest in global affairs  and answer to international needs and crisis addressed in His Majesty’s speech is an honorable reflection of what the Kingdom stands for and thrives towards achieving.

Al Solami explained that  among the University achievements during His Majesty’s era is the University’s   institutional accreditation from the Kingdoms Education and Training Evaluation Authority,  which was obtained in 2017 and granted for a period of 7 years, as well as the accreditation of a number of university academic programs from international centers and authorities. Adding that the university has also excelled in the  field of community service and community partnership, as well as the field of postgraduate studies and research. His Excellency, concluded his statement by praying that Allah protects and guides the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Majesty  King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Royal Highness   Crown Prince Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to bless the Kingdom further progress, development and prosperity.  
  The Collage of since and Art in khamis Mushait represented in the unit of activities has celebrated the Saudi National Day by sharing an electronic postthrough which a very eloquent speech was delivered by the dean about the occasion. Staff members as well as students have also participated and expressed their unshaken loyalty to the countrymen being one rule one heart. Some national hums were also included.   Source: King Khalid University Media and Communications Under the patronage of His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof.Falleh bin Rajallah Al Solami, and represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, is  to hold an online symposium  entitled "Health Volunteering", on the 10th and 11th of November  as part of the  "Mubadaroon" project. The symposium aims to highlight  the importance of volunteer work  in general  and the  health sector in particular, as well as spreading the culture of volunteer work in the health sector and the work ethics of health employees.The symposium is also aiming to  raise awareness on the  health mechanisms and practices available to volunteer in the  healthy sector. The symposium will include the participation of a  group of specialists and researchers from the health sector. Participants will discuss the areas of health  volunteer work in light of the Corona crisis, the role of  community  institutions in health volunteering, in addition to the characteristics of the health volunteer work. The symposium will also review some models and field experiences for volunteer healthy work.
  Source:King Khalid University Media and Communications King Khalid University, represented by the Postgraduate Studies Deanship is to organize an online  workshop entitled “Questionnaires and statistical analysis," on the evening of Wednesday, 3 of the month of Dhul Qi'dah, as part of the  "Mubadron" project. The dean of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies  Dr. Ahmed bin Yahya Al-Faee, explained that the workshop will be a two hour session from 9pm to 11pm  and targets graduate studnets. The workshop  aims to introduce the importance of questionnaires and the most  common mistakes that occur when building them , in addition to providing students with the skills to  designing them , and introducing  the type of questionnaires .   His Excellency The Director of King Khalid University, Prof. Dr. Faleh Bin Rajaallah Al-Salami has sponsored the opening ceremony of the third scientific forum, which is organized by the University represented by the Faculty of Science and Arta in Khamis Mushit in cooperation with the Faculty of Languages and Translation under the theme "Translation: The Dialogue of Cultures", which lasts for two days in the main campus in Abha. At the beginning of the opening ceremony, His Excellency the Rector welcomed the guests and participants in the forum, thanking all those who contributed to the organization and establishment of this forum, noting that this forum is the third of its kind organized by the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushit, praising the efforts of the College and its interest in conducting meetings and activities that benefit the university's interested staff and researchers, which will reflect on the results of this college and other related colleges. Al-Salami has also praised the cooperation that took place between the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushit, and the Faculty of Languages and Translation, stressing the importance of this in establishing and building research groups between different disciplines, pointing out that the themes of this forum are of paramount importance in the field of translation and cultural dialogue, hoping that this forum will come up with many recommendations that are in the interest of developing and advancing the fields of translation. On the other hand, the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Fifi, thanked the University's Director for sponsoring this forum, noting that this scientific research meeting is focused on the creation of translations between cultures, with the arms of researchers and researchers, and the manufacture of experiments and experiences, and said" No one denies what Translation is of the utmost importance and high status, as it has contributed significantly and clearly to the progress of humanity and the development of nations and peoples, as it serves as a bridge to cross into civilizations, a meeting point of knowledge and dialogue of cultures, and a means of establishing trade, industrial, military and diplomatic cooperation. Between states, entities, and societies," al-Fifi stressed, that translation is a complex intellectual and intellectual process, which often causes the translator anxiety, and insomnia, until he finds his stupidity and reaches his destination. Al-Fifi added that the scientific committee received many entries from inside and outside the university, and the committee worked on the entries received from within the university, where the participants were raised on 23 entries, of which 13 were approved. Dr. Walid Bulaihish al-Amri then delivered a speech, through which he stressed that translation is imperative to keep pace with the progress of civilization and the transfer of science and the exchange of literature and arts, considering that translation has a role that cannot be underestimated in communication between nations, pointing to the role of translation in connecting societies and peoples far apart. Al-Amri added that the follower of the development of human civilizations and the growth of scientific and human progress will find that translation is a phenomenon that precedes every civilized achievement of each nation. At the end of his speech he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the university and those who organized this forum. At the end of the opening ceremony, His Excellency the Rector honored the participants in the forum, and photographs were taken.  
  The (Musk) Club for Student Activities at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait in coopration with the Department of Safety and Occupational Health the central clubs at the Deanship of female Student’s Affairs organised an event entitled : the International Day of Civil Defense Day: Tuesday . Date: 8_7_1441 AH Time: 9 o'clock Venue : college yard. The ceremony started with an introduction to the event, followed by a speech on Civil defence Day and then another awareness speech, then an explanatory speech about the fire extinguishers and their types accompanied by a ppt slides show on the importance of first aid and an explanation about it, and was accompanied by different activities and songs,
  The (Musk) Club for Student Activities at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for female Student’s Affairs, arranged a discussion session "Views| Debates"  Day: Tuesday.  Date: 17_6_1441 AH.  Time : 10 - 12  Venue: college treater The panel discussion started with an introduction by the Director of Dialogue: Samira Al-Quraishi, explaining to the attendees and the members of the discussion that the aim of the seminar is to enhance the concept of  iscussion and accept and respect different opinions and give the participants an opportunity to express their views and clarify their different points of view. The moderator discussed 3 topics, where she addressed some questions to the two parties, and discussed their answers and opinions with the public, giving 3 minutes of time for each argument or point, and allowed the parties to comment on the responses of the other parties. I started with the topic of language, its use as a social aspect or a deficiency complex, the effect of the use and speaking of other languages on adults and children, and the extent of its influence on the formation of their identity. It also touched on the issue of colonialism and the extent of its influence and its proximity to the subject of language, as well as the impact of science in the languages in which it is taught, The parties explain their point of view on each of these points. The dialogue has moved on to the theme of vegetarian diet, its reality, being a healthy moral system or a hoax to the consumer? The two parties discussed multiple axes, starting with the presence of nutrients necessary for human life or not in the plant system, and how to help animals in other ways than the plant system. Then the discussion ended on the subject of artificial intelligence and whether it could outperform human intelligence, and what its relationship to awareness, and is it possible for humans to control devices, no matter how much their intelligence and awareness increased. On each of the topics, the director of the dialogue asked the audience to show a sign "with" or "against" according to their opinion on the topic and allowed them to speak and an opportunity to express their different opinions. The discussion was attended by approximately 42 people.
  The (Musk) Club for Student Activities at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for female Student’s Affairs, organised the activity of the Walking Challenge: Let's walk  Day: Tuesday  Date: 24_6_1441 AH  Time: 8-12  Venue : campus. The challenge started from eight until twelve o'clock with the aim of achieving the largest number of steps during a school day, I started to record posts with their data and then return at the end of time and monitor the broken steps and determine the top three centers among them and the winners got a set of healthy snacks in addition to purchase cards From the Jarir Bookstore, some publications containing simple exercise methods and multiple methods for preparing detox have also been published, as have some publications that contain the indication of craving for some foods and what are the nutritional elements associated with them, and some healthy foods have been distributed. The club also presented the challenge of searching for the treasure, as it hid gifts in several places at the university, and gave the students papers that contained hints at the places of the gifts.  
  The (Musk) Club for Student Activities at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for female Student’s Affairs,organised a training workshop entitled: Writing documents in English. Day: Monday. Date: 23_6_1441 AH. The time: 10-11 am Instructors: Reem Misfer Muhammad Al-Shahrani Maha Khalid Abdullah Al-Qahtani Noura Saad Awadah Al-Waked In the workshop, the students were trained to write some parts of the article as a correct academic writing, and they specifically highlighted the importance of writing in the English language, especially the academic ones,and its role as a basis in language practice. The trainers reviewed how to write an academic essay and the skills needed for correct writing and presented examples of 60 common words used in academic writing and many effective techniques when writing to motivate the reader. There was a group workshop with a key phrase written in a partial conclusion presented in an example presented to students. The course concluded with the announcement of a contest for female trainees, writing an academic article on one of the selected topics - Knowledge Power - Online Shopping - Students should not be allowed to play a PUBG game Any article submitted and a selection of the best article to be published in the College Journal This Is Us at KKU will be reviewed and audited The course was attended by 20 female students from the Computer and English Language departments.
  The (Musk) Club for Student Activities at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for female Student’s Affairs, held a series of 3 seminars entitled Academic Culture On Wednesday 7_6_1441 AH, 11_6_1441 AH. , 18_6_1441 AH. Hours: 10-11 Venue: University Theater Series speaker: ms. Noura Abdul Aziz The series of academic culture seminars spanned 3 weeks by one hour per week. This series began with the first part, an introduction to academic culture, the first part contained the most important basic concepts of academic life. In the first part, I began to clarify what academic culture is and the importance of university life and that the student draws skills other than learning in her major, such as thinking criticism, analysis and problem solving, as well as learning basic skills in university life such as discussion, and the most important behaviors that everyone expects to behave on campus , Listening and reading skills, their importance and academic writing. In the second part of the series, How do you make a presentation? The most important steps that must be followed before the show were presented, such as researching reliable sources, focusing on the coherence of the idea to be presented, and also during the presentation, such as interacting with the audience and communicating with them and ways to reduce tension and confusion that may occur before the show. In the third part of the series entitled How do you conduct scientific research? Italked about the correct research methods in terms of the correct way to write the keywords related to the search and the most prominent sites for reliable information sources and the best sites for indexing references and approved methods for that and concluded the importance of intellectual rights and their protection and ways to support the dissemination of these rights. The seminars were attended by 6 faculty members and 131 female students in the whole series.
The (Musk) Club for Student Activity at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for female Student’s Affairs, launched a website dedicated to the magazine This is us at KK on Thursday 20_6_1441 AH at 12 am. Magazine: This Is Us At KKU is a monthly magazine published by the Student Activity Unit as part of the Misk Club activities. The magazine contains many topics and articles translated some of them in various fields and very interesting in addition to some announcements about the club's programs. The site includes all the numbers that were previously published, with information about the work team, and how to communicate with the team to publish the posts.   The (Musk) Club for Student Activity at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, in cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Affairs, organised an awareness lecture about diabetes, presented by nine students from the College of Medicine under the supervision of Dr. Iman Al-Nashar. The program was held on Tuesday 10_6_1441 in the Theater at 10:00 am. The students opened the lecture by introducing diabetes and its types, the importance of glucose to the human body, its role in cell food, and its relationship to body hormones such as insulin and cortisol. They proceeded by explaining the most important cases that may occur for the blood glucose rate, which is low or high, and the most important factors causing its rise especially, such as genetic factor, obesity, and some drugs and real estate, also talk about the complications of high glucose, which in turn leads to diabetes, and its effect on the heart, kidneys, skin and nerves.They also talked about the first and second types of diabetes, the meaning and causes of both. After that they practically showed the students how to measure blood sugar through the analysis device, and explained the most important tips in this regard. They also launched a challenge which is the challenge of cutting down the sugar, in which students can participate via Twitter hashtag #kkuchallenge
Source : King Khalid University - Media Center His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region, recently sponsored a lecture by the National Center for Performance Measurement (Adaa). This lecture was in collaboration with the Emirate of the Asir region, and it took place at the King Khalid University theater. Honored guests included: King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh Al Solamy, Asir regional officials, mayors, center chairmen, government agency directors, local council members, representatives of Chambers of Commerce, and university employees. The lecture is part of a broad initiative to improve government services throughout the region and the nation as per Vision 2030. Engineer Adel Al-Ahmadi, a member of Adaa, presented the program lecture. First, he reviewed Adaa's mission, operations and objectives and described the center's relationships with various government agencies. He then covered a variety of topics such as: The mechanisms for developing KPIs, standardizing their concepts and terms, spreading the culture of performance measurement to government agencies, the importance of strategic development, and implementing plans to enhance KPI performance. Mr. Al-Ahmadi explained the center's role is developing government agency evaluation systems in support of Vision 2030. Near the conclusion of the program, there was a question and answer session. Center representatives answered the questions as to practical methods for improving government services to the citizenry. They also provided recommendations for assuming leadership roles in improving services through careful measurement and evaluation.
