In cooperation with the Deanship of Students 'Affairs for Students' Affairs, the Musk club at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait organized a student activity program entitled (what about Quranic studies) on Wednesday 17/2/1441 at College Theater. The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran and then the national anthem, and then the introduction of the program and followed by the following segments: The Story of Quran Revelation. The Qur'an is the first source The Qur'an is the base of Islamic rules How the Holy Qur'an was revealed - Say or dont say - The oldest manuscript of the Qur'an - Sura and its virtues - Introducing special applications for the Qur'an - Displaying places for the recycling of qur'ans in the southern region. The program included audio presentations of the most famous calligraphers of the Holy Quran and how to write and print it. The program ended with entertainment competitions and questions. The event was attended by: Vice Dean of the College Dr. Fatima Alqarni. Head of Islamic Studies Department turfah Al Ghamdi.  A number of distinguished faculty members from the Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Departments, and about 150 students.
The Central Arts Club at the Deanship of Female Students Affairs held a program entitled (Black and White) at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt on Wednesday 16/3/1441. The program included a workshop to correct some of the student’s mistakes while drawing and an exhibition accompanying some of the paintings of female students including some Arabic calligraphy paintings.
  Musk Club for Student Activities from the college of Science and Arts inKhamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for female Students Affairs, held a course entitled (Mastering writing skills and avoiding spelling mistakes), presented by Dr. Hanan Al-Kajm at 11 am on Sunday 21/2/1441. The course started by introducing students to the main writing skills and the importance of spelling and skills required to deal with common mistakes with the mention of models of these errors and the definition of te Hamzah types and placements. The course was attended by 75 female students.
In cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for female Students' Affairs, Musk club for Student Activities held a course entitled (Addressing Common Language Mistakes) by Dr. Rehan Mansour and Dr. Iman Omar on Sunday 28/2/1441 in the Training hall. The course included the following themes: - List of some of the mistakes that have appeared in the public tongues and include errors in:   Sounds of the word.   Tashkeel of words.   Derivation of the words   Combining words   Use it in this sense.  Taking words from a foreign languages. - The course aims to:  Find out mistakes in words and phrases.   Analyze those mistakes. The correct alternative to those mistakes. Approximately 65 common language errors were addressed and corrected and about 30 students attended the program.
The Musk Club for Student Activity at the college of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for female Students Affairs, organized a symposium entitled (My Experience with the Short Story)on Sunday 6/3/1441 in the College Theater. The symposium included the following themes: elements of the short story. Methods of event construction. The artistic structure of the story. A live experience of writing short story by the writer Kafa Asiri from Asir region, taking her story (Being Without a Homeland) as a model. The symposium was attended by 30 students.  
  The Student Activity Committee at the Computer Department under the supervision of Musk Club for Student Activity at the College of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Deanship of Students' Affairs, presented a training course on writing the curriculum vitae and preparing yourself after graduation. The course was presented by the trainer Siham Fahd. The course, which was held on Wednesday, 30 October 2019, corresponding to the second of Rabi Awal 1441 AH, contained many topics of interest for recent graduates or those expected to graduate soon. The main topics of the session were: 1. Skills to be acquired after the graduation, and strategies to be followed in order to find a job immediately after graduation. 2. How to write a resume. 3. Preparing for the interview. 4. Review useful resources in educational platforms, CV creation sites, interview models, and social media platforms that advertise jobs. 5. Key points to manage between graduation period and job search. The trainer discussed with the 46 attendees at each of these points and gave them some of her experiences and expertise in all these areas.
Musk Club for Student Activity at the Cllege of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students Affairs held an exhibition entitled (My Experience with a Book)on Wednesday 9/3/1441 in the College Library. Each student presented a summary of her experience with the most prominent books that she had read and benefited from. One student explained how the book (the biography of the Prophet) by Mohammed Swayani benefited her, Other student made paper scraps in which she wrote excerpts from the most important phrases that inspired her in the books. One of them prepared brochures for the conclusion of reading the book (the power of self-control) by Ibrahim al-Feki,The students reviewed a number of literary books in different fields and exchanged their experiences. The event was attended by 60 female students.
  Misk Club for Student Activity, Faculty of Science and Arts, Khamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students Affairs, held a course in (Driving Skills) provided by the trainer Halima Asiri on Tuesday 8/3/141 AH at the College Theater. The trainer opened the session by thanking and praising the wise leadership for taking the decision to allow women to drive, noting that it is an important step that contributes to achieve women's empowerment and meet their needs. Then after a brief introduction she first began to explained the parts of the car and the importance of each part and how to use it, then went on to clarify the basics of safe driving, including: (Fastening the belt + adjusting the seats for the main and secondary passengers + proper adjustment of the front and side mirrors + adherence to the speed limit and traffic rules + adherence to the safe distance between vehicles + staying away from distractions). She then went on to talk about some special driving cases such as driving during rain and fog and on the slopes and during busy traffic, then talked about traffic signs and showed the audience some of them and concluded the session by explaining the mechanism of obtaining licenses and the most prominent extraction platforms in the Kingdom. The course was attended by 62 students and nearly 30 faculty members.
  The "Musk" Student Activity Club at the Faculty of Science and Literature in Khamis Mushit, in collaboration with the Student Affairs Deanship, held a campaign entitled "Cleanliness is my responsibility" on Monday, 14-3-1441 Where each of the departments within the college cleaned the department and rearranged and decorated it and made it a better environment for studying, each department also tried to spread awareness of the importance of hygiene in its own style through publications and distributions accompanying the event, a committee was appointed to do the evaluation at the end through a tour at 9:30 and the committee was welcomed by activity coordinators, department heads, some faculty members and students, and the winning departments were awarded the cleaning shield in addition to some prizes for the participant students.

The meeting was held to discuss opportunities for collaboration and exchange between the two visiting parties and King Khalid University. In attendance were the university vice rectors, medical college senior leadership, and the assistant director of General Health Affairs in the Asir region.
  Source:King Khalid University - Media Center On November 14, 2019, His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, met with Asir Technical and Vocational Training Department Director, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Hifzi, at his office on the main campus. At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed Dr. Al-Hifzi and commended the efforts offered by the General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training in the region. They then discussed the possibility of future collaborations and projects to achieve Vision 2030. At the end of the meeting, Rector Al-Solamy received the annual report of the Technical and Vocational Training Department in Asir.

The Center for Guidance and Guidance of the Deanship of Student Affairs is organizing this two day event on behalf of the university. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness of student needs and those resources available to satisfy same. At the beginning of the program, the organizers briefed His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy on the educational programs and evaluative processes and resources available for the students. His Excellency recognized that an intense academic program is always challenging. Moreover, some students have personal or family issues, which can greatly complicate or even interfere with the educational process. "The university puts a great emphasis on providing our students with appropriate guidance, advice, and counsel for dealing with a variety of academic and personal issues. This program will ensure that our students know that the faculty is there in time of need," he said. Center for Guidance and Counseling Supervisor, Dr. Khorana Al-Suhaimi, explained that this event focuses on making sure that the faculty can recognize student issues and properly direct those students to the appropriate resources within the university. King Khalid University is able to address a variety of issues, including but not limited to academic, psychological, behavioral, stress/anxiety, emotional, and medical. One highlight of the event will be an interactive lecture entitled 'Psychological Stability and its Importance to the University Student'. Dr. Faisal Al-Qahtani will deliver that lecture, which will focus on practical aspects of helping students with those issues affecting their education. Dr. Sami Al-Faifi will close the last day of the event with a training course on time management.

  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, issued a directive establishing a Cancer Research Unit linked to the Scientific Research Deanship. The unit aims to study cancers and its related effects. The unit will also research potential genetic and environmental factors that might cause or contribute to the growth of the disease. The unit will also establish a fully equipped research facility in which collaborative domestic and international organizations can participate in cutting-edge cancer research at the postgraduate and professional levels. In addition, the research arm will serve as an advanced teaching facility for medical students and postgraduate disease researchers. Research capabilities will include tumors, genomics, immunobiology, biochemistry, and epidemiology. King Khalid University is committed to improving world health through cutting-edge research and development.
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Under the patronage of His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, the university will hold an integrity and anti-corruption meeting in collaboration with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha) on the 14th of Rabi Al-Awwal at the main campus. The meeting titled 'Methods to Protect and Promote Integrity' is part of the national responsibility initiative. The Awareness and Cultural Activity Unit of the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion will lead the meeting. The Chairman of the Scientific Committee, Dr. Abdullah Al-Adeed, commented that King Khalid University will host a number of representatives from government and private industry in the Asir region. The first session titled 'Methods and Mechanisms to Enhance Integrity' will discuss the adverse impacts of corruption on national security and electronic services. The following session titled 'Integrity Protection Requirements' will discuss the role of public employees in spreading a culture of integrity
  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center In recognition of International Day of Radiology (IDoR), the Department of Radiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Abha organized a three-day community-based radiology campaign. Head of the Department of Radiology, Dr. Maqbool Al-Aliani, explained that the students in the radiology department organized the event. The students assembled eighteen different exhibits that introduced event attendees to radiology and radiological services. The campaign aimed to spread public awareness on the role of radiology and X-rays in early detection of diseases such as breast cancer. The exhibits also displayed other technology such as ultrasound, CT scans, radiotherapy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and advanced radiological techniques.
  Source: King Khalid University -Media Center King Khalid University Information Technology Administration and Asir Scientific  Center, kicked off the STEM JAM training and competition  event on Thursday evening, in a three workshop session, in addition to the first phase of the 20 hour training course. The  event was lunched by  introduced  the STEM scientific methodology, followed by a workshop presented by Dr. Adel Qahmash. After that the first stage of the game developing workshop was inaugurated by  Eng. Read Bader  where he focused on the tools and engines of game developing. The event included the participation of more than 50 participants  from different age groups and backgrounds. It is worth noting, that event includes  science, technology, engineering and mathematics   according to  the STEM methodology, in addition to  creativity and imagination.
  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center With the commitment to advancing the practice of quality assurance, Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Hamed Al-Qarni, Dr. Ali Bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, and Dr. Ahmed Banaameh delivered a training program entitled 'Investing in Scientific Research' targeting faculty members. During the program which was held in a three day period, the presenters discussed the reasons for investing in research as well as brainstorming, innovation, and creativity in serving the community's social, financial and development needs.
  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University, represented by the Alumni Unit at the College of Science, held a practical training program to prepare and train individuals on the skills of personal planning through a program entitled 'Future Compass'. The event was attended by more than 100 participants at the College of Science at King Abdullah Road. The program was presented by the Head of the Biology Department, Dr. Huda Al-Ghamdi, who discussed the types of personal and general strategic planning, the definition of the concept of values, how to form a vision/mission, and identify your professional field. She also explained the methods to set goals and how to implement them in life practices. The program aims to help individuals identify personal visions, missions and values, and set smart strategic goals, in addition to setting priorities and developing personal long-term goals. It's worth noting that the University Alumni Unit intends to hold a variety of programs and training courses that will enhance the skills and talents of the university graduates.

Through the platform,the Scholarship Department provides new electronic services that allow university Academics the opportunity to apply for scholarship programs according to the university's vision and regulations.
