Ethics of the Profession
The Musk Club, in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Studies, organized a lecture entitled "Ethics of the Profession," presented by Dr. Amina Zaid. The lecture targeted graduates of the department, where Dr. Amina clarified the concept, emphasizing the impact of good ethics on the individual and society.
She elucidated the correlation between ethics and faith, citing verses from the Holy Quran and the noble biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Dr. Amina clarified the basic principles of professional ethics, including sincerity, honesty, trustworthiness, competence, and diligence. She also emphasized the importance of ingraining professional ethics through self-discipline, leadership model in the workplace, and continuous evaluation.
At the end of the lecture, Dr. Amina addressed the importance of justice in the profession and welcomed comments and inquiries from the attendees.
