The International Day of Charity
The College of Science and Arts Club in Khamis Mushait, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized a program for The International Day of Charity on Thursday, 9/3/1446 AH. The program was held in the internal campus with the attendance of faculty members and students.
The program began with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by an introduction to the International Day of Charitable Work, its importance, the goals of celebrating it, and how charitable work contributes to improving individual and community life. There was also a presentation of a speech by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, on charitable work.
After that, success stories from previous projects were shared, including quotes from individuals who participated in charitable activities and how these experiences impacted them. The student activities supervisor then delivered a speech on how to engage in charitable work and volunteering, highlighting issues that can be addressed such as combating poverty, supporting children's education, and providing healthcare for those in need.
Also, students prepared various brochures on the topic and distributed items with quotations about charitable work. Breakfast meals were provided to students and staff, and gifts were given to the caretakers and workers to bring joy to their hearts.
The program was distinguished by its benefits, enjoyment, and diverse presentation, and receiving praise from everyone.
