Dr. Zenah bint Ayed bin Dajem
Dr. Zenah bint Ayed bin Dajem received the Excellence Award at the Fifth Scholarship Forum at King Khalid University for the year 1444 AH, in recognition of her outstanding achievements in scientific research during her scholarship period.
Dr. bin Dajem holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, specifically in Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis and Sociolinguistics. She conducted her doctoral research in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Riyadh, marking the first qualitative research in the field of language within a medical context in collaboration with the Unified Contact Center 937 at the Digital City. Additionally, Dr. bin Dajem holds two master's degrees: the first in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching from the University of Nottingham, UK, and the second in Educational TESOL, which is Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, also from the same university. She is internationally recognized as a certified language instructor from the University of Cambridge, UK, for obtaining the CELTA diploma, a certification for teaching English to adults.
Dr. bin Dajem has numerous published research papers in the field of Applied Linguistics in internationally recognized and peer-reviewed journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. She has completed many courses in her specialty, scientific research, and other skill-based courses obtained during her domestic and international scholarships. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the English Language Department at the Applied College in Khamis Mushait.
Dr. bin Dajem emphasizes that the path to success is not without difficulties and is not strewn with roses, but with reliance on God and determination, one can achieve their goals.
