World Sign Language Day
Musk Club at the Applied College in Khamis Mushait, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, celebrated World Sign Language Day on Monday, Rabi’l, 24, 1445 H, at 10 AM. The program hosted a group of students with hearing impairments from the college, with sign language interpreters from the university's Disability Center, and faculty members in attendance. The program included diverse parts starting with the national anthem (in sign language), followed by verses from the Quran. This was followed by a speech emphasizing self-confidence, supported by a story from a student's experience with disabilities. The program also featured various physical activities, face painting, and distribution of prizes to student winners. The program concluded with free time to enjoy a happiness cart offering cotton candy, popcorn, and assorted beverages.
