University Fifth Council Meeting.

Source: KKU - Media Center On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, His Excellency King Khalid University President, Prof. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al Solami, chaired the fifth university council, on Thursday, 10th of December, which was held virtually in the presence of the His Excellency the Secretary General of the Council of Universities Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh and the council members. The University Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Vice President of Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Saad bin Muhammad bin Dajam, explained that the council discussed a variety of topics, and approved the following: -Restructuring the editorial board for a number of university journals. -Promotion of university employees. -Approving the following 5 fee-paid post graduate programs:  Master of Pharmacy Business Administration.   Master of Pharmacy in Cosmetic Science.  Master of Science in Herbal Medicine.  High education qualification diploma in The Science of Diction.   Diploma in Internal Audit.

University Council Adopts Recommendations for Operational Improvements

  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center His Excellency, King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, chaired the fourth meeting of the University Council, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the University Affairs Council, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, the University Vice Rectors and the College Deans. The Vice Rector of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research and the Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Saad Al-Amry, explained that the recommendations to establish a Department of Modern Languages and a Mining Engineering Department were approved. They also announced that the university would begin publishing journals on administrative and financial services management. The Council has approved a number of recommendations including: Execution of an academic contract between the university and the American educational company ELS Educational Services, Inc.; An agreement between the university and the Southern Federal University of Russia; Promotion of university employees; Upgrades to the Guidance Counseling Unit and Guidance Counseling Center; Upgrades to the Special Needs Unit and the Special Needs Center; Adoption of postgraduate programs in rehabilitation.

University Third Council Updates JSP Program and Establishes University Dental Hospital

Higher Education Council Interim Committee Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saleh, led the meeting in the presence of university vice rectors and deans. His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy opened the meeting by thanking Allah the Almighty and praising the Prophet (PBUH). Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary-General of the Council, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, then displayed the agenda and topics of the meeting. The council came to a number of decisions as follows: Meeting the executive regulations of the Joint Supervision Program (JSP) in postgraduate studies with a number of international universities; Establishing the King Khalid University Dental Hospital that will replace the current dental clinics; Restructuring the Graduate Deanship Council.

University Holds 9th Annual Council Meeting: Recommends a Variety of New Academic Programs

In addition to the regular members (Vice Rectors and Deans), the Secretary-General (Interim) for the Committee of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, attended. His Excellency began the meeting by thanking Allah for his blessings and praising the Prophet; peace be upon him. Vice Rector of Graduate Studies, Prof. Saad Al-Amri, reviewed the meeting agenda. The topics discussed included: The university final financial account; Establishment of the infrastructure for Academic Guidance; Approval of attendance rules and regulations; Faculty participation in the scientific meetings; Rules and regulation for scientific communications; Executive rules regarding promotions; Rules for faculty member publication; Consideration of applications for promotions to the rank of assistant professor; Consideration of new diploma, undergraduate and graduate curricula in the university system.   The Council also recommended the approval of a number of new programs including: PhD in Business Administration, Master of Public Health, Executive Master of Applied Computing, Master of Science in Data Science in Information Systems, Master of Educational Policies, Diploma in Cyber ​​Security, Diploma in Prevention of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Marketing Diploma, and Diploma of Web and Mobile Applications Development.

His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Interim Committee, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, university vice rectors, and deans were in attendance. Rector Al-Solamy began the occasion by thanking Allah and praising Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him. Following after, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saad Al-Amry, reviewed the meeting agenda.  The topics of discussion included:   The establishment of the King Khalid University Journal for Historical and Civil Studies; The approval of a Ph.D. program in History at the Faculty of Humanities; The promotion of a number of university staff.

Al-Solamy, led the Third University Council Meeting for the 2018 Fall Semester. His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Interim Committee, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saleh, university vice rectors, and faculty deans were in attendance. Rector Al-Solamy began the occasion by thanking Allah and praising Prophet Muhammad - peace be upon him. Following after, Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Saad Al-Amry, reviewed the meeting agenda. The topics of discussion included: The approval of the new scholarship admission conditions for foreign students; The approval of a new undergraduate psychology program in the College of Psychology; The approval of a new graduate program in the College of Sharia and Fundamentals of Religion; The establishment of the 'Volunteer Work University Center' to replace the 'Community Service and Partnership Unit'; New conditions and requirements for the proposed postgraduate programs to take effect in 1441 AH; The promotion of university employees. It was noted that this meeting was convened to enhance academic performance in accord with the Kingdom's national programs.
