Coinciding with the International Day of Quality, the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait, King Khalid University, represented by the Female Graduates Unit and the Development and Quality Unit organized a lecture entitled “The Importance of Quality in University Education”, presented by Dr. Kawthar Obaid; The assistant professor in the department of arabic language and organized by Dr. Kawthar Al Shafaa Ahmed Mohamed; the coordinator of the female graduates unit in the Arabic Language Department and Dr. Rehab Babiker; the vice dean for academic quality development.
The most important program outcomes were: Defining the concept of total quality
Statement of quality standards in university education
The student’s role in the periphery of the educational process
The role of faculty members in spreading the culture of quality
Ensuring the implementation of the quality system in educational institutions
A change in the quality of educational output to develop teaching methods
Clarifying some of the fundamentals on which the quality of university education is based
the needs and expectations of the beneficiaries
Ensuring that improvement and development is an ongoing process
The program included some interventions and discussions from the attendees, and it was in the presence of some educational and academic leaders represented by the head of the arabic language department, the vice dean for development and quality, and the community unit coordinator in the arabic language department and some of the quality members in the arabic language department. The program was from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday 28/28
