Rector Honors Day 1 Olympiad Gold Medalists

King Khalid University Rector, His Excellency Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy, honored the winners of the first round of the Second National Olympiad for Orphans Care Associations in the Kingdom, which was organized by the Abaa Association at King Khalid University. As part of its role as a strategic partner, King Khalid University is hosting the Olympiad.

The first day activities encompassed sporting events and cultural competitions. At the end of the track race, His Excellency Rector Al-Solamy honored the Abaa Association with gold, the Al-Buraydah Association with silver, and the Trawf association with bronze.

In the cultural competitions, the Trawf Association from Hafr Al-Batin won the gold and bronze medals in the Holy Quran Recitation competition. Also, the Trawf also won gold and bronze medals in the public speaking competition, while the silver medal was handed to the Kafel association from Makkah.

Of noteworthy mention, morning and evening sessions, moderated by a panel of judges from the Ministry of Education, are being held through Friday the 22nd of Dhū Al-Ḥijjah at the university theatre and gymnasium at the main campus.

The Student Activity Committee of the Computer Department of Misk Club for Student Activity at the Faculty of Science and Arts, Khamis Mushayt, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, orgenized a course in e-commerce prepared and presented by Amal Saeed Al Melhem. The course, which was held on Monday, October 21, 2019, included an explanation of e-commerce, in this era where the Internet is spreading enormously, some popular concept of e-commerce that offers many advantages for business and consumers and others, and the types of e-commerce, marketing methods, prospects and The future of e-commerce.
The Student Activity Committee at the Computer Department of Misk Club for Student Activity at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushayt in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs organized a training course entitled (Be a Life Maker) by Maisoun Ali Al Zahrani with the participation of a number of students on Wednesday 16/10/2019. The training started with verses from the Holy Quran, and prayers to be blessed , then the session contained a number of segments, including: 1- The importance of discovering talents and individual energies. 2- Qualities of life makers. 3- Ways of making life. 4- The impact of social networking sites on the goals of people. 5- The reason why human talents are replaced with robots. The course included a number of activities and competitions, including (the best comment contest) and prizes were distributed to the winners.
  The Misk Club at the college of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushait in cooperation with the Deanship of Students' Affairs concluded the planting program entitled” a plant for the homeland” on Monday 8/2/1441 H . 3 large ponds were planted inside the college and the afforestation process included 6 large trees of the type (Acacia Glauca + Palm of Mary + jacaranda) and about 300 different flowers.
The Musk Club of the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushit, in cooperation with the Deanship for student affairs organized a program entitled "rise and shine" on Thursday 11/2/ 1441 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.The program was presented by students from the Department of Islamic Studies. The segments included : • An Introduction. • The Holy Quran recitation . • Prophetic talk. • What are abandoned sunnahs. • The importance of reviving the sunnah. • Examples of abandoned sunnahs. • A Play. • An Islamic nasheed performed by the student Rowan Al-Shahrani. • A speech about asking for forgiveness and what it means. • The virtues of asking for forgiveness. The head of the Department of Islamic Studies, Dr. Tiftah al-Ghamdi, attended the program and praised the participants and about 70 students benefited from the program.  
  The advising and Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis Mushit in cooperation with the Student Affairs Deanship, held a program about (international Mental Health Day) under the slogan: (Prevention to Prevent Suicide) on Thursday 11-2-1441 H in the college lobby. The program aims to romote the concept of mental health as well as to introduce the risks of diseases and mental disorders facing the university student and its relationship to other diseases. The program has been organized under the supervision of the supervisor of the guidance unit and The social supervisor and other counselling coordinators in the departments A special corner was prepared to create awareness with drawing and coloring, and a special corner for expressing in writing. Awareness leaflets and cards were distributed containing positive and inspiring affirmations and the program continued for a week from Sunday 14-2-1441 until Thursday 18-2-1441 H At the college theater.
