Arabic Language and Youth

The Musk Club at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Khamis in collaboration with the Department of Arabic Language and the cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs for female Students' Affairs organized an event on Tuesday, H1440/6 /28 from 10 am to 12 noon. The event entitled "Arabic Language and Youth" included several segment on the impact of the means of communication on the Arabic language by Dr. Amani Ahmed Osman , and Ms. Mona Shahrani gave a lecture entitled: The impact of social media on the Arabic language.

The program included segments of cultural and scientific competitions, and the eighth level students presented the presentation of the Arabic language (Arabic) and the impact on the Arabic language and the program was concluded with by thanking and appreciating everyone for this great work.

  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Under the mandate of the Higher Education Council's temporary committee, the Deanship of Faculty and Staff Affairs has been renamed to the Deanship of Human Resources. King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy issued his approval on the decision and directed the restructuring of the Deanship of Human Resources in accord with its remit. Dean of Human Resources, Prof. Mohammed Al-Buhairi, said: "This shift from the concept of personnel to the concept of human resources is another step within King Khalid University's administrative renewal. It will help the university keep pace with national and global changes in the field of human resources." This decision comes in line with the issuance of the new regulation of human resources, which was recently launched by the Ministry of Civil Service. Our remit will include new tasks and broader powers in the planning of human resources. By focusing on performance levels and improvement set forth in the strategic plan of the university, we will maximize the utilization of human capital." According to the new structure of the Deanship of Human Resources, there will be four Vice Deanships as follows: Vice Deanship of Human Resource Operations  Vice Deanship of Human Resources Planning  Vice Deanship of Human Resources Development Vice Deanship of Female Staff Affairs. Also included are several administrations in recruitment, promotions, and end of service benefits. 
  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy sponsored the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Asir Municipality and King Khalid University. The signing occurred on Wednesday at the International Conference of Semi-Arid Mountain Environments under the aegis of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Asir Governor. Representing the Asir Municipality was Asir Mayor, Dr. Walid Al-Humaidi. The MoC aims to build partnerships between King Khalid University and the Asir Municipality to contribute to the development of the region. One of the main conditions of the memorandum between the two parties is to encourage the exchange the of scientific and industry best practices in food safety, food security, and public health in accord with applicable rules and regulations.
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center Under the auspices of the University Vice President for Female Students, the university welcomed the new female students during an orientation and outstanding student awards ceremony. Female Students Affairs Vice Rector, Prof. Kholod Abu Melha, sponsored the reception of new students admitted to the faculties of the university for the 1441 H academic year. The orientation day event was organized by the Vice Deanship of Female Student Affairs in the Science College Theater at the King Abdullah Road Campus and the Al-Mahala Academic Complex Theater. Prof. Abu Melha started her speech by welcoming all the university students, giving a warm reception and congratulations to the new students. She stressed that King Khalid University is inspired by the guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, pointing out that the directives of King Khalid University Rector Prof. Falleh Al-Solamy always include providing the best services for students in a way that enables them to excel. Vice Dean for Admissions and Registration, Dr. Hanan Al-Saidi, congratulated the new students for joining King Khalid University and explained the importance of accessing the Guide List of Study and Test Rules, which will enable them to understand their rights and duties. She also noted the value of obtaining information from reliable sources, reviewing some of the electronic services provided by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration. Dr. Fatima Sha'aban then gave a brief description of the Deanship of Student Affairs, its main objectives, centers, departments, and units. In the same regard, Talent, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center General Supervisor, Dr. Fatima Al-Zahrani, explained the most important objectives of the Center, which is to invest in creative talent, promote the culture of innovation, motivate faculty and students to innovate and create, increase the number of national, regional and international patents, and contribute to the preparation of the next generation of business people, entrepreneurs, and professionals. The orientation day event continued with a presentation delivered by Vice Dean of E-Learning, Maryam Awaji, who explained the levels and types of e-courses at the university. She also referred to the rights and duties of students in e-courses and services provided by the Deanship of E-Learning. After, a session was delivered by Center for Guidance and Counseling Social Specialist, Deanship of Student Affairs, Ms. Asmaa Al-Shehri. She reviewed the most important services of the center, which revolve around social and academic consultations and how to register in the student employment program and receive financial subsidies for students in need.
  Source: King Khalid University - Media Center The College of Arts and Science and the Community College at Rijal Alma recently held an orientation meeting for new students. At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Siham Al-Haidar welcomed the new students and began a presentation on the university's regulation and services. Dean Al-Haidar wished them a successful academic year. During the ceremony, students were introduced to the units and sections of the two colleges in an introductory exhibition that included the participation of the English Department, the Information Systems Department, the Computer Science Department, the Accounting Department, the Guidance and Counseling Unit, the E-Learning Unit, the Talent and Creativity Unit, the Scientific Research Unit, and the Safety and Security Unit. At the end of the meeting, a tour was organized for new students, which introduced them to college faculty buildings and departments on campus.
Source: King Khalid University - Media Center King Khalid University, represented by the Medicine and Innovation Club at the Faculty of Medicine in cooperation with Al-Kawthar Charity Association, launched a multidisciplinary health caravan on Saturday to provide its services at Al-Qahma General Hospital in Asir with the participation of a number of Saudi consultants. The caravan includes clinics specialized in dermatology, ophthalmology and family medicine. Of noteworthy mention, medical advice will be thoroughly offered to improve beneficiary experience and outcomes through a preliminary screening clinic to examine diabetes, blood pressure, and body mass index (BMI).
