King Khalid University participated in the Sharjah International Book Fair held last month in the UAE. The university was represented by Khalid Al-Mushin from the Deanship of Library Affairs. This was done in collaboration with Abdul Hadi bin Muhammad Al-Shafi, the Saudi Consul-General in Dubai and Northern Regions, and Special Attaché, Dr. Rashid Al-Ghaydah.
The fair included several other universities in the Kingdom. Each university displayed and promoted scientific and research publications. King Khalid University’s contribution included 40 publications as well as various additional booklets and souvenirs promoting the fair and the university.
Of note, the university conducted a roundtable discussion involving several intellectuals and authors who espoused the virtues of scientific development and the advancement of knowledge through reading and publication. Saudi Consul-General Al-Shafi received a special honor for his participation and support.
